Cleaning one brush under a running tap can consume approximately 15–25 litres of water. Lavabrush can clean up to 15 brushes using only 1.5 litres.
Depending on the brushes, paint and previous cleaning method, this represents a water reduction of up to 99%. Instead of continuously introducing fresh drinking water and producing hundreds of litres of diluted wastewater, the same small volume circulates within the Lavabrush container.
The environmental benefit is therefore not only lower water consumption. It is also a substantial reduction in the volume of contaminated water that must be managed after cleaning.
Paint residue stays under control
Modern water-based paints often contain polymer binders. When brushes are rinsed beneath a tap, paint particles, pigments, binders and preservatives enter the wastewater stream.
Lavabrush collects these residues in an enclosed container. Once the water is no longer suitable for continued cleaning, approximately 1.5 litres can be drained into an appropriate container and disposed of according to local waste requirements.
Lavabrush does not make paint residue disappear. It makes responsible handling practical. Concentrating the residue in a small, manageable volume is considerably better than automatically flushing it away in a large quantity of running water.
Used wash water should never be poured into a drain. It must be taken to an approved collection or recycling facility in accordance with local rules.
Longer life for professional brushes
A high-quality brush improves with use—but only if it is cleaned thoroughly.
Paint remaining deep inside the heel causes bristles to harden, spread and lose their precision. Brushes that are difficult or time-consuming to clean are also more likely to be discarded prematurely.
Lavabrush cleans the brush mechanically and efficiently, helping remove paint from deep within the bristles. Better cleaning can extend the useful life of professional brushes, reducing the need for replacement tools and the materials, packaging and transport associated with producing them.

Lavabrush cleans brushes in around 30 seconds and can reduce cleaning time by up to 80%, depending on the brush and paint. The system uses water only—no additional cleaning chemicals are required for brushes used with compatible water-based paints.
It can be operated manually or with a cordless screwdriver, so it does not depend on a fixed electrical supply. Its portable construction allows brushes to be cleaned where the work takes place, while the enclosed water remains under the painter’s control.
